The Elkmont Hound Dog Half

Elkmont High School Athletic Club is excited to announce the return of THE DOG!

The Elkmont Hound Dog Half is a half-marathon event that captures the spirit of community and the beauty of the great outdoors. Nestled in the scenic landscapes of Elkmont, Alabama, this race offers runners a challenging yet rewarding experience as they traverse through picturesque trails and winding roads. Participants are greeted with the refreshing embrace of nature, making it an ideal event for both seasoned runners and newcomers seeking to test their endurance. The race not only celebrates athleticism but also fosters a sense of camaraderie among participants, volunteers, and spectators. We will have two races that day, The Hound Dog Half and The Puppy Dog One Mile.

Hound Dog Half: 13.1 miles. Road / Trail course. Seasoned runners.

Puppy Dog: 1 mile. Road course. Anyone who wants to walk or run is welcome! Feel free to bring your pup with you for this race! All animals must remain on a leash and with their owner at ALL TIMES!

Packet pick will be on Friday, 4/3, at Fleet Feet Madison & Saturday, 4/4, at the race registration tent.
