The Experience

The Get Down to the Loose Caboose Half Marathon kicks off in downtown Paragould, Arkansas, starting behind the historic Greene County Courthouse. This certified, flat course is designed for speed, making it a prime location for runners aiming for a personal best.

The 10K and 5K events utilize the scenic 8 Mile Creek Trail, offering a different but equally enjoyable running experience. The race benefits the Paragould Chamber Foundation and the Greene County Future Fund, adding a layer of community support to the event. Runners can expect a typical race-day temperature in the low 70s, with a slight breeze.

Participants receive a Loose Caboose Festival T-shirt with registration before May 1st. The event also includes a "Fastest Kid in Town Race" for younger participants, ensuring a family-friendly atmosphere. While the half marathon is a newer event, its focus on a fast, accessible course makes it a noteworthy addition to the Arkansas racing scene.
