The Experience

Set against the backdrop of Colorado's San Juan Mountains, the Steamworks Half Marathon is a high-elevation race that takes place at 6,500 feet above sea level. This USATF-certified, point-to-point course follows county road 250, tracing the scenic Animas River as it winds towards the finish line at the Durango Fitness Club.

With a typical field size of around 200-300 finishers, this race offers an intimate atmosphere, drawing participants from about seven states.
