The Experience

The Carrollton Half Marathon has become a beloved Georgia institution, first run in 2019 and now in its 6th year. This popular race draws participants from around 14 states, with a growing field that typically sees around 900 finishers. A notable 37% of runners return year after year, testament to its appeal.

The course begins and ends in historic Adamson Square, guiding runners along the scenic Carrollton GreenBelt. While described as having rolling hills, the USATF-certified route is known for its net drop and a fast, flat finish, making it a strong contender for personal bests. Spectators line the route, providing enthusiastic support as runners approach the finish.

The post-race celebration is a highlight, featuring music, entertainment, and a generous spread of food and drinks. Participants receive a premium t-shirt and a substantial finisher's medal, capping off a well-organized event that benefits local causes.

With a route that winds through the heart of the city and finishes on a glorious, flat stretch of roadway, this is a race designed for a "strong finish" with great spectators bringing you home every step of the way.

Why This Isn't Just Another Race The Course: Start and finish in the historic Adamson Square. You’ll glide past the water and through the shaded, rolling hills of the Carrollton GreenBelt.

The Vibe: We don't just hand you a medal and send you home. Our post-race atmosphere features music, entertainment, and a food & drink spread that makes those 13.1 miles feel like a warm-up for the party.

The Swag: Every runner (individual or relay) gets the "Goodie Trio": a premium Carrollton Half Marathon t-shirt, a heavy-duty finisher’s medal, and those all-important tickets for free food and drinks.

The Cause: Every step you take benefits The Carrollton Greenbelt and The Community Foundation of West Georgia. This foundation helps fund many projects in the Carrollton and Carroll County area.
