Home of THREE Guinness World Records & located in Northwest Indiana, the Hub City Races: Half, 10K & 5K is a chip timed, out and back flat course that begins and ends in a scenic, wooded park & travels along the streets of historic Crown Point. Special Features include: Finisher Medals to First 400 Participants signed up. Chip timed race (you will cross mats at start & finish). USATF certified Half marathon. 10K & 5K is not certified. Race Awards for Half, 10K & 5K for Top Overall, Top Master (40+) & Top 3 in each age group. Water stops with both water & Gatorade Enjoy Carriage Court Pizza after! Music at the start & along the course Timeline: 6:30 am - Registration/Sign In. 7:20 am - National Anthem & Remarks 7:30 am - Half Marathon starts 7:45 am - 10K starts 8:00 am - 5K starts Race Awards after the last finishers of the 5Ks & 10Ks. We will do a "rolling" awards ceremony for the Half marathon as the results come in. Course: A chip start for the Half, 10K & 5K (you will cross mats at start & finish), timed race on the streets of scenic Crown Point, IN All races are an out and back course. Starts and finishes in Lake Co. Fairgrounds. Water Stations: There are 4 water stops you will pass 8 times along the out & back course. You will pass them 4 times on your way to the turnaround and 4 times again as you make your way back to the Finish. The stops will have water, Gatorade, gels & volunteers cheering you on! Restrooms/Port-A-Potties: There are 3 restrooms/port-a-potties you will pass 6 times along the out & back course. Just like the water stops, you will pass 3 facilities on the way to the turnaround and pass them again on your way back to the Finish line. 3 1/2 hour time limit for Half marathon (16:00min pace). After 3 1/2 hours, the timing system goes away and you will NOT receive a time. If you are unable to maintain that pace, please consider doing the 10K as we will need to re-open the streets for normal traffic. Cost: Half: $50. 10K: $35. 5K: $30. Kids 12 & under: $25. Under 3 are free. Shirts extra $16 until 8/31. Get Back $20! Share the link on your confirmation email. Get 5 friends to sign up & get $20! Packet Pick Up: 6:30 - 7:40 am before the event. RACE AWARDS for Half & 5K: Top Overall, Top Master (40+), Clydesdale (Men 210+ lbs), Athena (Women 170+ lbs), Top Three finishers in each age group. Age divisions: 0-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. Award divisions for 10K will be based on number of participants. Please note: No refunds will be given due to weather or for any other reason. You also can NOT transfer your registration after September 1st. If you do not pick up your shirt at the event, unclaimed shirts will be sold after the run.
