The Experience
The Jelly Roll, held at Elk City Lake, presents a unique challenge for runners on the Eagle Rock MTB Trails. This event, hosted by the Eagle Rock Shredders, a dedicated non-profit trail maintenance group, offers a course that winds through varied terrain, from open grassy stretches to more technical, rocky sections.
Racers can choose from distances of 7, 14, or 21 miles, with chip timing ensuring accuracy for all participants. The event is part of a larger "2-Days of Bike Awesomeness" weekend, featuring an Old School BMX Bike Show, a "Slow Roll" group ride, and live music, creating a festive atmosphere for participants and the local community.
The Eagle Rock Shredders, comprised of volunteers who also compete across Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas, bring their passion for trail building and racing to this event. It's an opportunity to support their efforts in maintaining the trails while enjoying a scenic and engaging race.
