The Experience

The Monroe Jingle Bell Run, a growing event in its third year, draws nearly 5,000 runners from about 10 states. This race champions an active lifestyle while raising crucial funds for local Scouting programs, including those for at-risk youth and scholarships to Camp T.L. James and Camp Attakapas. The event aims to ensure all youth have the opportunity to benefit from Scouting's leadership development.

The course, starting and ending in Forsythe Park, is designed to be fast and flat, making it an ideal setting for runners aiming for personal bests. With typical December race-day temperatures ranging from 43–60°F, conditions are often favorable for competitive times. The race offers both a 5K and a half-marathon, catering to a range of running abilities.

Participants receive a long-sleeve shirt as part of their registration. The event's success is measured not just by finisher numbers, but by its commitment to fostering community engagement and supporting the development of future leaders through Scouting.
