The Mattapoisett Lions Triathlon unfolds in a picturesque coastal Massachusetts town, offering a refreshing 21.1 km road race. This event has steadily grown, now in its 20th year, and typically draws participants from across 46 states, with about a third returning annually.
The course is a fast, flat loop, ideal for setting personal bests. Runners will experience the charm of Mattapoisett's coastal roads, with typical race-day temperatures hovering between 69–81°F.
Organized with the help of local triathletes, the event is noted for improved organization and is welcoming to both beginners and seasoned athletes. All proceeds benefit Mattapoisett Lions Club charities, adding a layer of community spirit to the race day.

Same beautiful venue featuring improved organization with help from local triathletes. Great for beginners and experienced athletes! Note: Given that we've been getting more non-licensed racers over the past couple of years, we have dropped USAT sanction to save non-licensed racers from having to pay the $15 one-day license. Group discount for triathlon teams of 10 or more racers! Contact race director.. All proceeds still to benefit Mattapoisett Lions Club charities. Take advantage of early registration and beat the July 1 $5 fee increase!
