The Experience
The Run the Platte Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K, now in its 3rd year, takes place in Springfield, Nebraska. This event is designed for speed, with a predominantly flat and fast course that follows the MoPac Trail, crosses the Platte River, and winds through the North Lake neighborhood.
The race offers a straightforward out-and-back for the 10K and 5K on a crushed limestone surface, while the half marathon incorporates more varied terrain. With aid stations approximately every two miles and a generous 4-hour time limit, it's an accessible event for a range of runners. Participants can expect a long-sleeved t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a unique post-race treat: pumpkin pie.
