The Experience

The UltraTrax Cannon Mountain event is a demanding trek forged in the heart of New Hampshire's White Mountains. Runners will ascend through dense forests, tackling rocky scrambles and steep ridgelines before emerging to sweeping vistas of Franconia Notch and the surrounding peaks.

This timed event, not strictly a race, offers multiple distances from 7 to 28 miles, with a generous 10-hour time limit for all participants. For an added challenge, runners can opt to carry a weighted vest or ruck, unlocking bonus swag and bragging rights. The course is known for being extremely well-marked, ensuring a clear path through the rugged terrain.

Participants can expect a festive post-trek party with refreshments and food, celebrating their accomplishment. Bibs can be mailed in advance or picked up on race morning, with complimentary parking available onsite. Finishers receive a custom t-shirt and velcro patch, with a special Grey Wolf medal for those completing Level 3 and 4 challenges.

A mountain-forged climb of Cannon Mountain through dense White-Mountain forest, rocky scrambles, and steep ridgelines. The route ascends forest track and rugged scramble sections before you break through to sweeping views over Franconia Notch and the distant peaks of the White Mountains. Push your pace. Carry your weight. Move with the pack. Choose your distance: 7, 14, 21, or 28 miles, and complete in 10 hours to earn the coveted UltraTrax Grey Wolf Medal. Toss on a 10, 20, or 35-lb weighted vest or ruck and unlock bonus finisher swag + serious bragging rights. The course will be extremely well marked with a fun post-trek party for everyone to enjoy! Trek Day Information UltraTrax Cannon Mountain kicks off at 7am on September 6, 2026. The starting line will be open from 7am to 10am with the post-trek party starting at 11am. It is not a race, but it is a timed event and walkers will have 10 hours to complete the course. Bibs can be mailed or picked up the morning of the event. **IF YOU REGISTER AFTER 8/15/26, BIBS MUST BE PICKED UP IN PERSON. A friend or relative can pick up a bib if you can't attend. Complimentary parking is available onsite. Finishers will receive a custom t-shirt and velcro patch. Level 3 and 4 participants will also qualify to earn our coveted UltraTrax Grey Wolf medal. Refreshments and food will be available after the race.
