The Experience

The Leave No Trace series, first run in 2010 and now in its 16th year, invites runners to explore the unique, mostly single-track trails of Camp Manatoc on the high plateau. This event is a rare opportunity to experience the Boy Scout camp's technical terrain, which is typically only open to the public during these races.

Runners can expect a challenging course that winds through wooded areas, offering a true test of skill on the natural landscape. The race is known for its dog-friendly policy, allowing participants to share the experience with their canine companions. With a median field size of around 280 finishers, the event fosters a close-knit atmosphere, attracting participants from approximately 7 states.

Race-provided description

NEW for 2026: 15k & 5k The Spirit of Marnoc (Love of the Outdoors) is said to dwell in the woods of the high plateau at Camp Manatoc. This race's unique, mostly single-track course is open for public use only during WRR events! Now is your chance to challenge yourself on the Boy Scout camp's technical trails. We have been granted special permission to run/hike with our dogs for this event at Camp Manatoc.
