The Experience

The Top of Utah Half Marathon, a championship race for Utah and part of the USATF Utah Road Racing Circuit, offers a stunning journey down Blacksmith Fork Canyon. Starting seven miles up the canyon at the Hyrum Electrical Plant, runners follow the river's path to the finish at Providence Zollinger Park.

The course unfolds with dramatic scenery, featuring dry, desert-like vistas on one side and lush pine forests on the other, punctuated by cool, rugged rock formations. This point-to-point course is known for its natural beauty and a net downhill profile, making it a potentially fast race for participants.

All finishers are recognized with a medal, and the event includes prize drawings during an awards ceremony. With a 3 1/2 hour time limit and welcoming walkers and wheelchair/hand-cycle divisions, it caters to a broad range of participants.
