The Experience

The #HonorConnor half-marathon offers a unique opportunity to run for a cause on Virginia's scenic Capital Trail. This event, now in its fourth year, honors the memory of Connor James Smith, a young boy who loved the outdoors and being pushed on runs. All proceeds benefit the Connor James Smith grant for SCN8A families, supporting children with special needs, equipment, and therapies.

The course itself is a fast, flat, out-and-back route along the Capital Trail, designed for a smooth running experience. Runners will complete two 3.25-mile loops, with aid stations strategically placed at the turn-around points. The race kicks off at 7:30 am, with bib pickup available on race day. Participants can expect a finisher's medal and a post-race beer, making it a rewarding experience for all who participate.
