The Experience

The 2.2 for 22q Walk/Run/Ride is a unique event designed to raise awareness and funds for 22q, a genetic disorder less known than Down Syndrome yet affecting 1 in 2,000 births.

This event offers flexibility, with a virtual component allowing participants to walk, run, or ride in their own communities or on treadmills between June 6-14, 2026. A concurrent in-person event is held in Erie, Colorado, with aspirations for future expansion.

Participants are encouraged to share their experiences on social media using #run22for22q, fostering a sense of unity. The event aims to shed light on the significant health challenges associated with 22q, including heart defects, palate differences, immunodeficiency, and cognitive impairments, while supporting the efforts of The 22q Family Foundation.
