The Experience

The All-Out Dog Days race series, held annually between Denver and Boulder, CO, invites runners to a mid-season challenge on the Big Dry Creek Trail. This event, now in its 13th year, offers a unique twist with a special dog division and a dog-themed costume contest, celebrating the bond between runners and their canine companions.

The course primarily utilizes the Big Dry Creek Trail, known for its soft surface, particularly on the 10K and half marathon routes, making it a pleasant running experience. Runners can expect scenic views of the Flatirons on the horizon as they navigate the out-and-back paths. With an average of around 200 finishers in recent years, the event draws participants from approximately 11 states, creating a diverse yet intimate field. The typical winning time suggests a competitive but accessible race for various skill levels.

Race-provided description

Get ready for a sun-soaked adventure and a fantastic mid-season challenge with our 13th Annual Dog Days 5K, 10K & Half Marathon, benefiting Do Over Dogs! Held in a central location between Denver and Boulder, our courses wind northeast along the scenic Big Dry Creek Trail. As you run, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Flatirons on the horizon. Our trail is perfect for dogs, featuring a generous amount of soft surface along the 10K and half marathon routes. Plus, we have a special dog division to award the fastest pups at each distance and a dog-themed costume contest for extra fun! And continue the challenge by participating in the endless series counterpart, Fa La La, in December.
