The Barr Trail Mountain Race is a historic Front Range summer event, now in its 25th running. Starting at the Cog Railway Station in Manitou Springs at 6,570 feet, runners tackle the iconic Barr Trail, ascending to Barr Camp at 10,200 feet on Pikes Peak. The course then turns for a descent, finishing at the Barr Trailhead.
This challenging race is operated under a special use permit from the Pike National Forest, offering a true mountain running experience. The course is a demanding out-and-back on the Barr Trail, testing endurance and offering significant elevation gain and loss.
