Held annually on the first Saturday after Labor Day, the Elroy Apple Dumpling Day Races are a beloved fixture of Elroy, Wisconsin's town festivities. First run in 2007 with just a 5K and kids' race, the event has grown to include a half marathon, a full marathon, and additional children's races, now in its 17th year.
The half marathon course winds through the scenic town of Elroy, offering a pleasant running experience. The event is organized by the Elroy Lions Club as part of the wider Apple Dumpling Days celebration, creating a festive and community-focused atmosphere for runners and spectators alike.

The first Saturday after Labor Day has the scenic town of Elroy, Wisconsin, sponsoring its very own Apple Dumpling Days. As part of the festivities, The Elroy Lions Club hosts the Elroy Apple Dumpling Day Races. The first races were in 2007 with a 5K and a single kids race. The Apple Dumpling Day Races expanded in 2008 and added a very successful ½ marathon and an additional kids race for the very young. In 2013, a certified full marathon was added to the venue.
